I didn’t know until today that #PatrickStewart was an outspoken advocate against #ViolenceAgainstWomen (for his mom) and also for supports for veterans (for his dad). But it fits. The blog below has a couple nice videos of him speaking about it. It feels nice to have that common activism with him. I’ll make this my last post on him. Men, we have the power in our hands to stop violence against women and children. https://losingmyperspicacity.beehiiv.com/p/why-losing-patrick-stewart-hits-so-hard-for-women #RIP #StarTrek #Picard #BelieveWomen #MeToo

Patrick Stewart had Trump pegged in 2017: “When America sneezes, the world catches a cold. America I think is on the edge of a very bad flu infection and it’s because of the man in the White House.” He said he’d take us to war for no reason. Talk about nailing it. #RIP (From @marco.foster)

"When I first came up with the term [Software Engineering], no one had heard of it before, at least in our world. It was an ongoing joke for a long time. They liked to kid me about my radical ideas. It was a memorable day when one of the most respected hardware gurus explained to everyone in a meeting that he agreed with me that the process of building software should also be considered an engineering discipline, just like with hardware." #RIP #margarethamilton
