We’re back to eating lentils and canned beans again. For over a week now, the markets have seen a sharp rise in the prices of goods
especially food,and some items have disappeared from the shelves… My little brother has stopped eating lunch; he eats only bread. He says, without realizing it, “The war is over—why are we eating lentils?” I feel sorry for him and for every little child in Gaza who has never seen a good day since he was born.
