Emerging out of my own personal cave to share the first drawing I did for some time. It's not yet finished, but will be soon. First image is the original concept that was done on an airplane trip during summer, while on the airplane. Second image is my re-interpretation of this airplane drawing. It basically served as a test to see start drawing again after 1 month or so, because I thought my skills would have forgotten me... I realized that being able to draw again is a sign that life has settle and brain and cope with it. (Images sensitive due to possibly horror-inducing elements. H.R.Giger is a hint) Done with: Sailor Fude de Mannen (40) and sailor black ink. #artjourney #mastoart #fountainpen #ink #drawing #traditionalart #abstract

The deed is done! The automatic drawing is finished. Added some values, tried to add some depth and all in all I hope it's disturbing and dark. I might not be ready for comics/manga yet, but at least I'm starting to draw again! The journey continues! :D Done with: Sailor Fude de Mannen (40), sailor black ink and DeAtramentis Document Black. Media marked sensitive because it depicts way too many things that are weird and uncomfortable Giger-style. #fountainpens #illustration #mastoart #ink #traditionalart #abstract #horror #artjourney

G . Lost in Red is a mixture of abstract painting combined with face elements, showing the artist immersed in crimson, vermilion, rose, pink, with touches of orange, white and brown. I used to see my art as childish and something that anyone could throw together. Being able to do art regularly meant I had to get over and start ignoring that voice that told me I wasn't a good enough artist. It also meant doing away with the concept of there being 'good' and 'bad' art. I still don't call myself an artist, but maybe I should start doing that. #artist #art #abstract #abstractart #abstractexpressionism #scribble #heart #oilpastels #drawing #colourtherapy

(Re-uploading to this instance) Brass cast little sculpture of a wood cube showing tunnels carved by a woodworm. Of course the tree was already firewood when I found it, I only cut it into a rough cube. And the woodworm was long gone: Wherever you are, I hope you're OK, it was nice making this collab with you. #MetalCasting #art #ContemporaryArt #sculpture #insect #beetle #abstract #organic #geometric #WoodWorm #carcoma #SciArt #wood #biology #entomology #casting #xylophague #collaboration
