一直以来我的微信使用的是从注册起默认头像，朋友圈没有任何动态、设置昵称也是空白
我不想暴露过多信息，但是这好像对于生活和工作有影响、因为大多数使用微信的中国人都使用头像以及放置其他个人信息
看到这类账号觉得可能是小号，以及封号
所以，我应该为微信账号添加头像或昵称以及信息吗

If there's one thing The Fedi has given me, it's an appreciation for libraries.
Yes, I used them when I had much less income than now, but it was really only when many people from the Fedi pointed out how awesome libraries are that I really came to appreciate the no-cost, no-commercial interest sharing of knowledge and culture and sometimes skills and tools with anyone who lives nearby or visits.
Thank you librarians and Fedizens. ❤️

我想和大家分享一则我在去年12月份至2月份工作的简短故事
在去年12月份，我因为找不到实习工作、所来到父母所在的工作城市（广东中山）
这份工作的选择是出乎意外，是当时与父母夜晚散步来到一所工业园区，那边大部分公司是以器具性的重工业生产为主，我所临期选择的是一家手表厂工作
每日工作时间是从上午8:00至晚上21:00，每周星期日休息
当时主管一开始只是要求我对于手表胚进行套加缓冲纸，但是随后安排我对于搬运送来的手表胚放置以及拆箱送来的靛色好的手表胚，还有对于工人师傅打磨好的手表胚观看外观鉴定后进行封箱放置
当时我对于这份工作真的很劳累，但是我并没有选择离开、因为当时我很多工作也已经寻找失败了、或许此时的我别无选择
在此期间，套纸及其封箱都在 QC 房间、那边有1位宝妈，1位比我大4岁的女生、以及一位东北大妈也在那边工作

So... Which app are you using for Mastodon lately? Any juicy updates, or new ones?
The feature I want the most is being good at keeping its spot in the timeline, so that I can scroll (up, ideally) towards the present without missing too much stuff.
I follow few enough people that I can actually exhaust my feed, so that's neat.

Okie Fedi, I'm gonna be a bitch.
My partner's neurodivergence makes it basically impossible for her to like, make alt text. She is also an artist and enjoys photography, but the Fedi's "no alt no like, no alt no boost" stuffs makes her feel excluded and less. And that's before the harassment and the smarmy reply guys "actually" her.
Aside from the blatantly abelist stuffs, one super common response is that she should use Alt4Me to participate. Okie cool. A way to get help!
But does it work?
No. No it does not.
I did a quick search of the Alt4Me hashtag. Of the 17 uses I saw in the last 5 days on mastodon.social:
11 posts got no help
3 posts got help
2 posts were telling ppl to use the hashtag
1 post was complaining abt ppl not using provided alts.
Tbh? That is kind of fked.
Fedi u aren't inclusive if u make systems to help ppl and u don't do the work to actually help. It makes it easier to say "lol we tried" IG, but it still leaves ppl without help... and IG gives preachy bullies another took to use to harass the ppl the tools are built for.
"But we have a tag for that, use it!"

Damn... I missed all you wonderful humans this week. It's good to be back home on the #fedi
I'm going to preface this with that I have no intention of doing this at all, this is just a hypothetical that has been nagging me.
Let's say I were to delete this instance tomorrow, or maybe the domain expires and I never renew it... Does the cache of my posts and info and such eventually disappear from other fediverse instances? Do posts have a TTL that gets refreshed with the originating server or anything like that? I am sure that it is different across different implementations, so I'm really just looking for a general answer...
